Why should I spay or neuter?
Spaying and neutering doesn't just keep your pet from reproducing, it also keeps them healthy. Studies have shown that cats and dogs who are fixed live demonstrably longer lives than their unfixed counterparts.
Male cats who remain unfixed are more likely to stray from the home and are at risk of being lost or injured as they roam.
Unspayed female pets are at a much greater risk of developing pyometra, a potentially deadly infection of the uterus.
Spaying or neutering is always the right thing to do, but if you are unsure if your pet is ready to be fixed, or if you have concerns about fixing a pet with a pre-existing condition such as pregnancy, cryptorchidism, or if your pet is over five years old, please call to inquire about your pet's options for surgery.

Why should I vaccinate?
Vaccination can help avoid costly treatments for a variety of preventable diseases.
Rabies is a virus that infects the central nervous system. It has a 100% fatality rate in pets, and there is no treatment for a rabid animal. The rabies virus can be transmitted to people through contact with infected saliva, such as by bite or scratch.
Because rabid animals are considered a hazard to public health, it is required by law that pets are kept up to date on their rabies vaccine.
